Mr. Prahlad Sukhtankar

Bio

Prahlad Sukhtankar graduated with a BBA in Marketing and Hospitality from Les Roches, Switzerland. He worked with several Leading Hotels of the world in Switzerland and Ireland before being offered a MiT position by the ultra-luxury Four Seasons Hotels LLP, where he worked his way up with the company, through the US and Canada. In Vancouver, Canada he earned the coveted Sommelier’s Diploma from the acclaimed International Sommeliers Guild ( ISG) with Honours.

In 2014 Prahlad with his wife Sabreen opened the doors to their first restaurant, “The Black Sheep Bistro” with a vision and concept that stepped out of the mainstream and provided their guests with unique experiences. The restaurant has enjoyed much success through the years finding itself on various lists of top restaurants of the country including Conde Nast Traveller Top 50 restaurants in India, GQ, Vogue, Times, and many more such accolades. In March of 2019, the duo launched their second restaurant in Panjim city, “Black Market”. A place where one can find the unusual but always sinfully delicious.

In 2019, Prahlad was appointed Curator of Culinary Arts for South Asia’s largest Arts and Culture Festival – Serendipity Arts Festival. He was the youngest Goan to be part of Serendipity’s renowned curatorial team which consisted of Senior National artists. During the Pandemic, Prahlad’s early decisiveness led to the consolidation of both his brands into a single but strong business; a crucial decision that is reaping great dividends today
