Being a student for three years at this prestigious institute, it is evident that every product of this institute is destined for greater achievement. The faculty with their rich experience and expertise imparts knowledge to the students by using modern techniques effectively, which is an ode to the state of the art infrastructure on a six-acre campus. It is a blessing in disguise to be located in an evergreen environment, away from the hustle of the city as it provides calm surroundings for students to learn, play, and stay on the campus. All-in-all, it’s a great course, with great infrastructure, teaching faculty and staff and amazing colleagues!

When you spend 3 years in a place like VMSIIHE with a culture like ours, you just learn to carry yourself like a true professional of the industry. The college demands that of you. It gives you an edge and you can really see the difference when you step into the industry. Good habits are imbibed in you and it goes a long way. I also feel like it is an environment where you receive a lot of support from the people around you which facilitates your learning and growth. All these aspects of the college played a big role in me getting into a good program. The world class facilities are like the icing on an already delicious cake!

“Professionalism at its best is what I define VMSIIHE.” Right from its culture, to its work ethics & study environment. Be it curricular or co- curricular, their activities are quiet versatile. International standards infrastructure, which didn’t make me feel far away from home coming from a rich country like Kuwait. With no hospitality background, was definitely a new challenge I was looking forward to. The institute is set to be built on such high standards. We learnt every day to carry out ourselves like true business professionals in the industry and out in the world, and that’s what the college demanded from us. Good habits, discipline and hard work were instilled in us from the very beginning and this definitely goes a long way! You know you are being well trained and molded all thanks to the mentor and faculties present there. Prof. Irfan Mirza, Director/Principal of the institute undoubtedly a perfectionist, who I have very high regards for, only strives for us to do our best. The rest of the Salgaocar family, also follows his footsteps in guidance and imparting knowledge. Their friendly persona helped us through the difficult days. Chef Sebastian, Chef Sujatha, Ms. Gauri had a special spark. My gratitude and appreciation all goes towards the teaching and non-teaching faculty for their endless support during my time with the college. And for this, I cannot thank you all enough.

VMSIIHE has nurtured and trained me to excel in this ever growing and challenging industry. The first place you learn hospitality is at your own home, to be the best at it professionally VMSIIHE is always your second home. My immense passion for food, love for interacting with guests of different cultures worldwide and building guest relations has led to me kickstart my career as an In Room Dining Server in the Pre-opening Team of Waldorf Astoria, Kuwait by Hilton.

Session with Ujjwal Tripathi

Mr. Ujjwal Tripathi, an alumnus of VMSIIHE, had an interactive session with the T. Y. Students.

During the session, Mr. Ujjwal shared glimpses of his learning experience and fruitful time as a student at VMSIIHE and his remarkable journey as a Managing Partner of his entrepreneurial venture Sweet Nation – A one stop shop for fine Indian vegetarian cuisine.
