Mr. Devlal Sahadevan is a Graduate in Hospitality Management from IHMCT Kovalam, he possesses a BA in English language & Literature from Bishop Moore College Kerala, and an MBA in Human Resources from VOU, India. He is a certified trainer including CHE from AH & LA, USA and from multiple organizations/certifying agencies in India and UAE. He is a certified Internal auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 22000, Management System Coordinator for Quality assurance. He has an Advanced (Level 4) Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles and is Trained in Food Safety and HSE procedures for Catering operations for the offshore catering industry. He has conducted training programs for staff of Al Diar group of hotels, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), Department of Culture & Tourism, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

He was part of the team (along with Prof. Irfan Mirza) that set up three Hospitality Institutes, including Oriental School of Hotel Management, Kerala, North Park Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh and E.I.C, Abu Dhabi.

He has over 20 years of teaching experience in Hospitality in India, Switzerland (Cesar Ritz Colleges) and UAE. The courses delivered are Food & Beverage (core area), Front Office management, Accommodation operations, Event management, Facilities management. He is also the faculty coordinator for co-curricular activities of students such as Cultural activities, Theme nights, Food festivals, etc.

He has set up the Learning & Development department for two companies as Manager, L&D: Gourmet Gulf LLC Dubai and AHM Marine LLC Abu Dhabi, which included creating the onboarding program for new team members, designed a management trainee program for trainee managers and an individual development plan for team members at all levels.

He is a Specialist in delivering training programs in Train the Trainer, Presentation skills and Public speaking, an active blogger, cartoonist and MMA/fitness enthusiast and a Co-founder and Learning Consultant for Topklowd, a learning and consulting company based in Dubai, UAE. He is a distinguished toastmaster.
