Mr. Gaurav Apte

Mr. Apte, General Manager – Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, has over 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has held various leadership roles at properties of Marriott International across India.

Previously, he was associated with the Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad, as the General Manager for 3 years. He was instrumental in achieving the highest total hotel revenue since its inception.

Prior to Ahmedabad, he was associated with the Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, as Resident Manager and Director of Rooms from 2012 to 2015 (3 years). Under his leadership, the hotel won the “Best Operations of the year award” and he clinched the Global EDGE (Excellence in Delivering the Guest Experience) Award. Prior to Bengaluru, Gaurav was associated with Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi, as Director of Rooms, 2009 to 2012 (3.5 years) He was instrumental in ensuring that the hotels flourish by achieving the best guest satisfaction scores in India. He earlier worked with The Lakeside Chalet Marriott Executive Apartments and The Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre from 2002 to 2009

Mr. Apte holds a Masters in Hospitality Administration (MHA) from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai, Masters in Tourism Management (MTM) from Indira Gandhi National Open University and Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (DHMCT) from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. This is where he got his first glimpse of hospitality and built a strong foundation for a great career.
