Bio

Amelia Edna Castro Cota Cruz is a distinguished Marketing Communications professional
with over 25 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has been a leader in strategic
marketing, public relations, and client relationship management, contributing her expertise to
several prestigious organizations.
Edna has held key Managerial roles in renowned institutions, Cipla Pharma, NUSI Hospital
and Research Centre, Apollo Victor Hospital, Vidya Vikas Academy HSS, and currently as
Head of the Marketing & PR department at the V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International
Hospitality Education, Manora-Raia, Goa. Known for her meticulous approach and
exceptional leadership, she has played a vital role in driving sales growth, performance
appraisals, and strategic initiatives in both the healthcare and education sectors.
Renowned for her ability to build lasting relationships, Edna connects with people
effortlessly, fostering strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders. Her organizational
skills, dedication, and results-driven mindset have earned her a reputation for leading with
passion and precision.
Edna holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of
Management, Research, and Training (IMTR), which is affiliated with Goa University. She
also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications. In addition, she completed a
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science.
Edna is also proud to have been an outstanding student at St. Joseph’s Educational Institute,
where she excelled in the SSCE Board examinations in 1986.
A well-rounded individual, Edna enjoys dancing, singing, and gardening. She is fluent in
English, Hindi, and Konkani, and has a basic proficiency in Portuguese. Edna is happily
married to Carlos Noronha, an entrepreneur in the FMCG sector, and they are blessed with
three daughters.
Her journey from being a former student of St. Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor, to
becoming a successful Marketing Communications professional exemplifies the values of
dedication, hard work, and excellence that she continues to uphold in her personal and
professional life.
