Admission procedure for International Students

International Students seeking admission in VMSIIHE, Goa-India, will have to comply with the following procedure:-

 

  • The International students who have passed Standard XII or equivalent /Graduation from India or their own country for Undergraduate /Post Graduate Programme respectively have to download the admission application form, duly fill in the details, scan the form and send the form via email to the admission co-ordinator, VMSIIHE, along with a copy of Standard XII passing certificate.

 

  • The admission co-ordinator will verify the form details and refer the Standard XII transcript to Goa University for possibility of eligibility to undertake the course of study at VMSIIHE.

 

  • On Goa University’s approval for provisional admission, the admission co-ordinator VMSIIHE, will issue an offer letter of admission to the International student.

 

  • Based on the offer letter, the International student has to apply for student visa from Indian embassy in their own country, to proceed to VMSIIHE, Goa.

 

  • The student has to pay requisite amount of course fees and hostel fees as prescribed in the offer letter in Indian Rupees in India, or foreign currency from their own country.

 

  • Once the student arrives in Goa, the student has to be registered with Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) Panaji, Goa within 14 days of arrival and complete the requisite formality.

For registration of International student, the student has to fill up an online application form from website https://boi.gov.in/boi/ and seek an appointment date for a personal interview. The appointment date will be automatically generated on filling up online details.

Documents to be submitted at the time of appointment.

  1. Original Passport + 01  coloured photo copy

  2. Original Visa + 01 coloured  photo copy

  3. Original residence proof + one photo copy

  4. Original Bonafide certificate + one copy

  5. Two Passport size coloured photographs.

  • Once the student is registered with the FRRO, a copy of registration is also sent to the local Police station. The CID will pay a surprise visit to the institute, for physical verification of the International Students.

  • After a period of 15 days, the International student has to obtain a residence permit from FRRO, which allows the student to stay in Goa, India to undertake the course of study.

  • An International student cannot leave Goa under any circumstances before a period of six months, the student is on a single entry visa.

  • An International student has to report to the FRRO in case of any emergency exit from Goa.

  • After a period of six months the student has to report to FRRO and obtain multiple entry visa.

  • Thereafter the student is permitted to go to their country on vacation as per rules.

 

Procedure to obtain Eligibility from Goa University

To obtain Eligibility Certificate from Goa University for an International student the following documents:- 

  1. Copy of Visa

  2. Copy of Passport

  3. Letter from Embassy of respective country stating No Objection to pursue study in Goa.

  4. Standard XII or equivalent Transcripts

  5. Proficiency certificate in English

  6. Fee amount of USD 50 for Eligibility and a onetime Admission fee of USD 500 payable to Goa University
