She is currently a Guest Lecturer at V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Management (since July 2019), and at Goa College of Hospitality and Culinary Education (since June 2011). She also serves as a Visiting Lecturer at Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts, Verna (since July 2023). Her previous teaching roles include Lecturer (Lecture Basis) at Dhempe College of Arts and Science (2016–2017), Full-time Lecturer at Don Bosco College, Panjim (2005–2015), and Visiting Lecturer at the Don Bosco Institute for Post Graduate Studies and Research (MCA Department) from 2012 to 2015, as well as at Salgaocar Law College, Miramar from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to her academic background, Nisha Raj has 14 months of industry experience as a Software Developer. She worked at Radical Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Pune for 6 months, where she developed and led a key project, RetailPro, using Visual Basic with MS Access and SQL. She then worked for 8 months at Compulink Systems Ltd., Pune, contributing to web and desktop applications using ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL, HTML, and XML. She was part of the team that developed WhizibleTalent, a recruitment portal launched by the company.

She has published one research paper titled “Application of K-Means Clustering Algorithm for Password Authentication through Keystroke Biometrics” in the Sacred Heart Journal of Science and Humanities, Volume 3 (Jan–June 2013), ISSN 2277-6613.
