VMSIIHE

With an ease in the pandemic V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), a prominent hospitality institute in Goa was able to open its doors for students. Offline classes began with all covid protocols in place, students and staff were accepted back on campus only with a negative RT-PCR report.

Here is what a few of the students from the institute had to say about being back on campus:

It feels amazing to be on campus. The teaching staff is absolutely wonderful and really helpful. I am grateful for the opportunity to finally meet and interact with all of them in person. It’s difficult to know if you’ve made the right choice for your higher education but the moment I set foot on campus and interacted with everyone I knew I had made the right choice. I am really glad that I chose this institute, and I am having a lot of fun here already. The food on campus is also amazing which makes me feel less homesick as I have come here from Pune. I am grateful to be a part of VMSIIHE and can’t wait to have a fruitful three years here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”8209″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text el_class=”wpb_wrapper”]

I have come from Mumbai to attend classes offline and am staying in the hostel which feels like a second home to me. The campus is such a beautiful place to be, you are surrounded by nature and it just enhances your learning experience. It’s truly invigorating to be here and absorb the energy of everyone and the environment. I can no longer picture what the online world was like anymore and I doubt I could go back even if I had to after experiencing this life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”8210″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text el_class=”wpb_wrapper”]

I was really excited to join this great community. and learn new things. The pandemic definitely took a toll on our mental health and I was struggling to imagine what the future would look like. Now that the institute has reopened I feel refreshed and rejuvenated. Things feel a little more normal now and it was such a rush meeting my teachers and classmates. I am looking forward to making my dreams come true here. I am really happy to be back at the campus. After being at home for almost a year and now coming back, meeting people, learning new things feels like such a new experience. It is so much more fun and exciting than before. We have a new found sense of appreciation for our classrooms and physical interaction. VMSIIHE has made it possible for us to be back and experience campus life again. I am very lucky to be a part of the VMSIIHE Family.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”8212″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text el_class=”wpb_wrapper”]

Beyond academics, the ample prospects of extra-curricular activities have made my campus life more amazing and exciting. Campus life is all about having fun with friends. Institute has plants and trees all around the campus which makes it even more fresh and energetic. Everyone here is so supportive and I am happy to be back. It has been a pleasure to be back on campus as it is more convenient to interact with both teachers and peers and understand concepts. It is also easier for me as an individual to learn and gain knowledge in person rather than online. There is also the advantage of accessibility as we can communicate with the teachers and seniors easily. This would again help us to bond well and not forget each other. It is also possible to be involved in a lot of events, competitions and activities as well. Real learning takes place in the campus which wouldn’t be possible online which is why I’m really pleased VMSIIHE made the decision to reopen in the offline mode. I can’t imagine learning something like hospitality management online and I am ecstatic to meet and interact with all my batchmates and seniors as well. I feel great! There are no words to describe what it’s like to be back at the campus and experience the offline mode of education once again. Being back on campus gives me the chance to interact with students from different places and form good friendships with them. Simply interacting with different types of people physically is something that we couldn’t really do during lockdowns and the likes, so it’s extremely thrilling to be able to interact and have in person conversations with my classmates again.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”8216″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text el_class=”wpb_wrapper”]

Campus life has always been a safe place (home away from home) for me. When I am here I can actually embrace the real “me” and be the best version of myself. With online classes I was studying but I did not have the same interest and enthusiasm that I felt when I was on campus. Being back has actually breathed a new life into me. Being surrounded by friends makes me feel excited to start my day. I’m extremely happy to be back on campus and I hope to stay here for as long as possible.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
