Mr. Mandar Vedpathak

Mandar Vedpathak is a hospitality professional and academician with over a decade of diverse experience spanning luxury hotels, resorts, hospitality education, and soft skills training. His career reflects a strong blend of operational excellence, guest service leadership, and academic mentoring, making him a well-rounded professional in the hospitality industry.

Mandar began his professional journey in 2012 with Sofitel Mumbai BKC as a Guest Service Ambassador in the Front Office department. He further strengthened his operational expertise through roles at Trident Mumbai, The Imperial Club by Taj Mumbai, and The Imperial Club by The Leela Mumbai, where he gained extensive experience in guest relations, front office operations, reservations, and customer service.

He later progressed into managerial responsibilities as Front Office Manager at Moksh Farms & Resorts, Lonavala, where he was responsible for overseeing front office operations, enhancing guest satisfaction, and leading service teams.

Recognizing his passion for teaching and talent development, Mandar transitioned into hospitality education. He served as an RDM Lecturer at ICE College of Hotel Management, Mumbai, before joining the Apeejay Institute of Hospitality, Navi Mumbai, where he worked as Assistant Professor – Front Office from October 2023 to May 2025. During his academic tenure, he trained aspiring hospitality professionals in Front Office Operations, Guest Services, Communication Skills, and Soft Skills, combining industry knowledge with practical learning methodologies.

Academically, Mandar has continuously upgraded his qualifications. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Hotels & Hotel Administration from the University of Mumbai, a Bachelor of Science (Hospitality Studies) from the University of Mumbai, along with Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) and Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) from the Maharashtra State Board.

Throughout his career, Mandar has developed expertise in front office management, guest relations, reservations, hospitality operations, team leadership, communication, problem-solving, and professional training. His strong command of English, coupled with fluency in Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati, enables him to effectively communicate with diverse teams and guests.
